Grow In Grace

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen (2 Peter 3:18).

The word “grace” is from the Greek “charis” and it refers to the divine influence in a human heart, which reflects on his outside, producing favour, beauty, goodwill, loveliness and ability. In other words, when “grace” is working in your life, there’s just something about you that causes favour and glory to abound in your life.

For example, when the Lord Jesus was a child, the Bible says He “…grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon him” (Luke 2:40). It made Him, even as a child, to have favour with God and man (Luke 2:52). In the Book of Acts, Barnabas went to visit certain brethren and “…when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all…” (Acts 11:23). What was it that Barnabas saw? It wasn’t a light beaming out of their heads—He saw the beauty of God; he saw that things were working out excellently in the lives of these brethren.

Grace is the power of promotion; it is the thing that causes your life to move from one level to another and that’s why the Bible says we must grow in it. The good news is that every child of God has received grace in abundance (Romans 5:1 7), but the degree to which you let it reflect is up to you.

The more you fill your heart with God’s Word and have the Holy Spirit work in your life, the greater that grace will shine forth on the outside. This is the plan of God for you this year.

You can and should increase in that outward reflection of the glory of God in your spirit, to such an extent that others would take notice. They might not be able to explain it, but they will not be able to deny that there’s just something excellent and beautiful about you. Hallelujah!

Walking in Favour

“Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time is come” (Psalm 102:13).

As a child of God, you’re born into a life of favour. The Bible says, “For thou Lord will bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield” (Psalm 5:12). Now that you have come into the kingdom, God has planned for you to walk in His favour every day. As far as God is concerned, there is no situation terrible enough and no enchantment powerful enough to stop you from walking in the favour of God this year! The only thing you need to do is to walk in the light of that favour.

What does it mean to walk in the light of your favour? It means to live with the consciousness that you’re the favoured child of a loving God. It means to have a mind-set of possibilities. The Bible lets us know that as Christians, we are partakers of the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). In other words, you have God’s nature of righteousness and His favour continually abound towards you. Have this consciousness throughout this year. Let it become your meditation that you’ve received overflowing grace into your life and that grace is working out divine favour in everything that concerns you! With such a mind-set, you’ll see the challenges you face as your opportunity to experience victory and glory.

Understand that when God looks at you, He doesn’t see you as someone in need of help. He sees you graced, full of the Holy Ghost and power; He sees one who is favoured! You have to see and agree with His picture of you and say, “Yes Lord, I am who you say I am! Nothing can put me down, because I walk in the light of my favour. Doors of opportunity are consistently opened to me and I am experiencing the favour of God every day!” Hallelujah!

Walking In Super Abundance

“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:17).

The word “grace” is from the Greek word “Charis”, which means the bestowal of divine gifts. It also means to be endowed with the presence of God. That means God has given Himself to you, thereby giving you all that He has. Grace is that glory of God that works within you that causes you to achieve things ordinary men can’t achieve, and causes you to be divinely favoured everywhere you go.

The opening scripture lets us know that grace has been made available to you in superabundance; there’s a superfluity of grace upon your life. No wonder the Bible says, “And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace” (John 1:16). We’ve received grace heaped upon grace. This grace will favour you this year and open doors of blessings and opportunities for you and bring the beauty of the Spirit into your life. Amen!

In this year of Favour, you must learn to recognize and take advantage of the grace that’s in Christ Jesus, and your life will be an unending stream of the supernatural. The grace to excel, succeed and prosper in all you do has already been bestowed on you. Therefore, you ought to face life this year with the mentality of the champion that you are; go forth today, and win! Face the future with confidence, knowing that the Lord has encompassed you with favour, even as with a shield (Psalm 5:12).

As you step out today, say to yourself, “I’m the favoured of the Lord; the grace of God that causes increase, promotion, progress and advancement has been superabundantly bestowed upon me. Therefore, I walk in divine favour today!” Brothers and sisters, this is the year to recognize and take advantage of the grace of God that has been multiplied unto you. I declare that that shield of favour will cause the glory of God to be revealed in you and through you throughout 2013, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen! Hallelujah!

Grace Is More Than Unmerited Favor!

Many simply define grace as unmerited favour. However, the word, "grace" is far more encompassing. Grace is usually bestowed; it’s an endowment or an impartation, which, when it is given or granted produces special abilities in you that reflects on the outside. Thus, favour is one of the out-workings of grace.

This doesn’t mean everyone will like you; some will even persecute you, but every well-meaning person will be attracted to you. You might be the new kid on the block, but everybody wants you. Furthermore, grace brings joy into your life. Many people don’t understand the power of joy and thus refuse to give it expression. But when grace functions in you, it reveals itself in joy unspeakable and full of glory! Others won’t understand how come you’re ever joyful, and keep making consistent progress; it’s because of what’s inside—the joy of the Lord, produced by grace.

Grace also brings liberality into your life; it opens you up to a two-way channel: a giving and receiving channel! Giving is "a grace" (2 Corinthians 8:7). As grace works in you, you become a prompt-to-do-it giver; and giving is not without receiving. As grace inspires you to give, so does it inspire others to give to you.

Grace brings pleasure into your life. God cares about you being happy and living a pleasurable life. He wants you to derive pleasure from everything you do, and grace gives you that pleasure; it helps you take pleasure in the things of God. Lastly, grace brings gifts into your life. The grace of God in you deposits an extraordinary ability in your spirit to do what others can’t do. It may be a gift of writing, or singing or the ability to fix things; look into your life, and you’ll be amazed what gifts and abilities grace has deposited in you.

GRACE - The Power Of Promotion!

“For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south” (Psalm 75:6).

Promotion, the Bible says, doesn’t come from the east, west, or south, but from God. The Lord delights in promoting His kids; that is, taking them from one level to a higher level in every aspect of their lives. He detests stagnation and retrogression; that’s why He wants you to make progress and move forward in this year 2013. The Bible says, “…the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 4:18). The exciting thing about favour is that its promotion defies human logic and awes the natural mind. This year is your set time to experience supernatural promotion.

As a child of God, you need to understand that God’s grace is upon you and that grace is your power for promotion. Hallelujah! You’ve been born into favour, into the “forward and upward” life; you ought to keep experiencing supernatural promotions in every area of your life. Check out the man Joseph in the Bible, He was sold by his brothers into Egypt as a slave. Potiphar’s wife lied against him, and he was eventually incarcerated in Pharaoh’s dungeon. Yet, that grace (the power of promotion) working in him moved him from the prison house to being the Prime Minister of Egypt (Genesis 41:39-40). Everyday throughout this year is an opportunity for you to experience promotion because 2013 is the set time for you to apprehend that higher level that God has prepared for you! There’s room for you at the top, so take it!

This year, God is going to use seemingly unfavourable situations, which ordinarily should have led to your disadvantage as the very means for your promotion because you’re His favoured child. Humble yourself; be diligent in your work and in all that you do, and by the Spirit of God, you’ll keep experiencing supernatural promotions. This is your hour to stand out from the crowd and sparkle for the Lord! Never forget this, 2013 is the set time for God to promote and exalt you because it is your year of Favour. Praise the Lord!
